After Graduating in 1998 from Grambling State University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and moving back to Chicago, he put out a record with MFON called "Ron Hardy's Resurrection" on SOMA UK. This song got a lot of attention not only in his hometown Chicago but in Europe as well.
In March 2003 Sean with his business partner Art "Agent 2a" Alacron set up their own record company Smooth Agent Records. The goal of this company is to help bring light not only to Sean's projects but to also put out quality music from other artists as well. Since their first release by Sean "Urban Rhythms Vol1 in April Smooth Agent has already booked a full schedule of releases that will carry over to the next year.
Sean is known for leaving every crowd mesmerized with mixing skills. "I like to stretch the boundaries in my set so it's etched in their brains.. I've had people come up to me years later describing the set I played… I just try to bang it every time I play." - Sean Smith
